About Having A Party
Having A Party is an event hire business with a warehouse in Ringwood, and it has been setting up events in the Yarra Valley for more than 20 years. The idea is that the marquee, chairs and tables, flooring, lighting and catering gear all arrive from one team, so you are not juggling several suppliers. Marquees are the main line. Pro-Matrix frames begin at 3 x 3 m and grow to 6 m wide structures as long as 70 m, as well as 12 m spans and hex modules, and the largest quad hex at 12 x 43 m holds 400 guests seated theatre style. Smaller gatherings, sports days and markets can use pop-up marquees, and size charts show how many people each frame takes for standing, round tables, trestles or dancing. To fill the space you can hire chairs and tables (kids' sizes too), bars, umbrellas, picket fencing, flooring, dance floors, carpet runners, heaters and fans, along with linen, glassware, crockery, cutlery and catering gear. For lighting there are chandeliers, lanterns, fairy lights and a coloured roof wash, plus lasers, spots, mirror balls, smoke, snow and bubble machines for the dance floor. A uniformed crew brings everything out, sets it up to your plan and takes it away afterwards, normally between 8am and 4pm from Monday to Saturday, with runs outside those hours on request. The crew installs and collects, and you stack and clean the items before pick-up. Slope and anchoring, with pegs on grass and weights on hard surfaces, are checked when you enquire.

What lighting is available?
Chandeliers, lanterns, fairy lights and a coloured roof wash light the marquee, while lasers, spots, mirror balls and smoke, snow or bubble machines liven up the dancing.
How are delivery and setup priced?
Delivery prices assume ground-level access door to door, and the crew sets up to your plan and comes back to collect. Stairs, or a carry of over 20 metres from the truck, can cost extra.
