School Formal Venues in Southern Wollongong & Dapto

Choosing the Right School Formal Venue

Schools across Southern Wollongong and Dapto need a formal venue that seats a whole year group and still leaves space to dance.

In this part of the city, Port Kembla Golf Club at Primbee is the formal venue on Party Hero so far, with its private Melaleuca Room.

What families across the south should weigh up:

Location: the club is on Golf Place in Primbee, with free parking for drop-off and pick-up.
Year group size: banquet seating for 130, or 175 if students would rather mingle.
Format: a plated or shared dinner, or roaming food at $38 per person.
Dancing and speeches: a dance floor, DJ-friendly set-up, microphone and TV.
Drinks: alcohol-free packages, priced per head, keep the night simple for under-18s.

Committees from Dapto or further around the region should plan transport home early, as a late finish often suits a hired bus.

Collect a firm student count before you lock in a menu, since seated dining has a minimum.
Ask whether the Melaleuca Room or the Clubhouse better suits your numbers and running order.
Check dietary needs across the year group when choosing how the meal is served.
Plan teacher and parent supervision around the club's bar areas.
