About Hot Rock Events & Catering
Hot Rock Events & Catering is a Newcastle catering and events team run by Michael and Melissa, cooking from its own production kitchen in Broadmeadow. The team caters at venues, in private homes and outdoors, and can take on a whole event or just the parts you need. The work spans corporate and private occasions. Gala dinners, product launches, office and building openings, team days, Christmas functions, charity events, private celebrations and marquee weddings all sit within the range. For standing functions there is a canapé menu with cold and hot options, from sushi and Greek salad skewers to Thai fish cakes, pork dumplings and zucchini flowers filled with ricotta. You choose six, ten or fourteen pieces, then add substantial dishes such as noodle boxes, curries, risotto, sliders or paper cones of fish and chips. Seated events can go two ways. The shared buffet banquet offers three entrées, two mains and three sides, while the wedding menus serve an alternate drop of one, two or three courses, with vegetarian and gluten-free meals available in each. Drinks can be handled too. Beverage packages run from one to five hours and include RSA-trained bar staff, glassware and ice, with beers, wines and soft drinks to choose from. Couples can visit the Broadmeadow kitchen for a tasting before the day, and a green wedding option leans on local organic produce, sustainable seafood and compostable serveware.
