About The Event Storeroom

The Event Storeroom is an event and party hire business on Bunnan Road outside Scone, run by James and Rachel Smart. The couple had already run licensed events and some equipment hire locally under Smart Functions & Hire before taking over The Event Storeroom and its established local following. The hire range covers most of what a reception or function needs: timber and trestle dining tables, bar tables, bentwood, folding and director's chairs, stools, benches and lounge settings, plus crockery, gold and silver cutlery, glassware, linen and napkins. For styling there are arbours, easels, vases, candles, cushions, artificial flowers and plants, festoon and pendant lighting, market umbrellas and stage sections. There are three ways to book. Full style and hire starts with a consultation and a design and quote, then the team delivers, sets up and styles everything and collects it afterwards. If you already have a planner or stylist, they will deliver and put the hire in place to that plan. For DIY, they drop the hire off in the days before, or you can collect from and return to the warehouse. The Tipsy Mare is their timber mobile bar, delivered the day before and taken away the day after. It is hired dry for you to stock, with glassware for up to 120 guests, RSA-qualified staff and off-grid capability for a backyard or a remote paddock. The Event Storeroom does not publish hire prices; each booking is quoted on the items, delivery and any set-up or styling needed. A refundable deposit of a fifth of the booking, with a $300 minimum, secures the date.

Equipment & Service Details

The Event Storeroom hires tables, chairs, stools, lounge settings, bars, bar tables, crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen and decor including arbours, lighting and umbrellas. Choose delivery only, delivery with set-up to your own plan, or full design and styling. Delivery is at ground level, set-up is charged hourly, a refundable deposit applies, and returned glassware and crockery go back rinsed and boxed.
