About Hidden Door Experiences

Hidden Door Experiences has spent more than 18 years designing staff events, and its team building and corporate events business is based in Sydney. In the Blue Mountains it works onsite at resorts, heritage hotels and conference venues, covering Katoomba, Leura, Wentworth Falls, Blackheath, Medlow Bath and Mount Victoria. Sessions suit leadership offsites, conferences and executive retreats as well as larger company gatherings. The activity list is broad. Outdoor groups can take on tribe-against-tribe Survivor challenges or a race-style city quest, while indoor formats include The Big Picture, where small canvases join into one artwork, the escape-room style Hostage, The Apprentice, Bingo Bash and game shows. Charity programs such as Build a Bike and Helping Hands give teams something worthwhile to make together. Most activities run for 1.5 to 3 hours, and conference energisers can be shorter. Groups range from sessions for 6 to 20 people through to conferences of 300 or more, and every outdoor format has a wet-weather plan, either moving the date or switching to an indoor option. Each session is led by professional facilitators and tailored to the group's objectives and venue. If you want help beyond the activity, the team can source a venue, coordinate catering and AV, and write the run sheet. It suits HR teams and event organisers who want one company to handle a Mountains offsite from start to finish.

Pricing

Pricing for Blue Mountains programs depends on group size, the activity, how long it runs and the logistics of your venue. Simpler indoor or outdoor activities start at around $70 to $100 per person.

Outcome-focused corporate programs generally cost $150 to $280 per person. After you accept a quote, a 50% deposit invoice confirms the booking.

How We Work

Share your date, group size, venue and goals, and the team comes back with a quote and suggested activities. Once you choose an activity, you receive an event confirmation and an invoice for a 50% deposit.

Programs can be shaped around your company values, conference theme or leadership priorities. On the day, professional facilitators run the session at your Mountains venue, and the team can also look after venue sourcing, catering, AV and the run sheet if needed.

Frequently asked questions

Where in the Blue Mountains does Hidden Door run activities?

The team brings each session to the resort, hotel or conference centre you have booked, and its Blue Mountains page names Katoomba, Leura, Wentworth Falls, Blackheath, Medlow Bath and Mount Victoria. It says it can deliver anywhere across the Mountains.

How much does Blue Mountains team building cost?

Simpler indoor or outdoor activities start at around $70 to $100 per person. More outcome-focused corporate programs usually sit between $150 and $280 per person, depending on group size, format, duration and logistics.

How long does a session run?

Expect most programs to last 90 minutes to three hours. Energisers for conferences fit into shorter slots, while outdoor challenges and charity programs may need longer.

What if the weather turns on the day?

Every outdoor activity in the Mountains comes with a wet-weather plan. Your options are a new date or an indoor alternative, which may need a suitable room at your venue.

How far ahead should we book?

Six to eight weeks' notice is recommended, especially around conference periods and the end of the year. Shorter lead times can often be accommodated, depending on availability.
