About David Maltby Images
David Maltby Images is the business of David Maltby, a Central Coast wedding photographer who has covered more than 650 weddings. He describes his approach as photojournalistic: he stays in the background and records the day as it happens, stepping in with light direction only for family groups and bridal party portraits. Couples choose from three packages. Essential covers four hours – usually the ceremony, portraits and the start of the reception – with over 400 edited images. The eight-hour Full Day package runs from preparations to the reception with 800-plus images and a five-photo sneak peek the next morning, and the twelve-hour Complete package adds drone aerials and more than 1,000 images. Every photo is edited by hand in a soft, warm look inspired by classic film stock, with natural skin tones rather than heavy retouching. Galleries arrive online within two to five weeks depending on the package, ready to download in high and low resolution and share with family. Prints, wall art and hand-made albums can be ordered through the gallery. David's past Central Coast work includes ceremonies at the Japanese Gardens in East Gosford, beachfront receptions in Terrigal and garden weddings on private acreage in Glenning Valley. He carries two camera bodies recording to dual cards and keeps every gallery in several backed-up locations. Couples can meet him in person or by video call before booking.
